about art camp 2
Youth will be engaged and inspired with fun, visual art workshops instructed by our expert team of professionals. It’s a great way for students to sharpen existing skills or to try something completely new. During the 3 days of classes, they will be creating original artwork and have a great time exploring different mediums and techniques. The registration fee includes all art materials, an Art Camp 2 t-shirt, and bottled water. Please have your child wear old clothes during Art Camp 2 and arrive rested, fed, and ready to make art.
Friends and family are invited to join us in the gallery Friday, June 8th from 5-6 p.m., to see the completed projects displayed in the Bronson Gallery and to celebrate the student’s accomplishments and to celebrate the student's accomplishments. Light refreshments will be served.
Open to youth ages 6-9. No experience necessary.

9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. each day. June 6th through 8th. Participants will complete the following:
Instructor: Larry Delgado
Students will make coil pots with coiling rope. Adding embellishments, paint and or yarn to personalize their pots.
If time permits each student will make a small print of any subject matter using printer’s ink.
about the instructor
Larry Delgado has been an artist since his childhood. He attended Western Nebraska Community College and various seminars in Nebraska, Colorado and Wyoming.
Delgado was a member of the North Platte Valley Artist Guild for 18 years, which he held the office of Secretary and President for two years.
He holds private lessons and has taught for West Nebraska Arts Center’s children art programs.
Delgado has also participated in the art fairs in Wyoming, Colorado, and Nebraska.
Art has always been a fun and a creative part of his life. Art gives Delgado the opportunity to express what he sees and feels. The richness of the valley and history give his art inspiration. His favorite subject matter are old barns, buildings and Native American subjects.
He researches all his subject matter before he starts an image. All his work is done in watercolor, pen and ink and colored pencil, with some times mixing the mediums.

The decision of West Nebraska Arts Center will be final and notification to the winner will be made on or before Tuesday, May 29, 2018.
