Jr. Duck Stamp Project

from 40.00

The West Nebraska Arts Center's After-School Art Program is expanding for the month of February to include the Junior Duck Stamp Project.  The program is instructed at West Nebraska Arts Center in Scottsbluff by professional artist Mary B. Hunt who has offered instruction for the Duck Stamp Program in the schools for many years and is also a current instructor for WNAC's After-School Art Program.  Utilizing drawing and composition skills with painting and color mixing techniques, the students will complete original paintings which they will then have the option to enter in the 2015 Federal Junior Duck Stamp Program.

Students in grades K-6 will attend after-school sessions on Tuesdays (February 3, 10, 17, and 24), 3:45 to 5:00 p.m.  They are also encouraged to attend optional/additional after-school sessions on Thursdays (February 5, 12, 19, and 26), 3:45 to 5:00 p.m.

The cost is $40.00 per student for WNAC Members, $50.00 per student regular price.  All materials and art supplies are included in the cost of registration.

Space is limited.  Early registration strongly advised.

The After-School Art Program is generously sponsored by Platte Valley Companies, the Panhandle Shrine Club, the North Platte Valley Artist Guild, the Nebraska Arts Council, and the Nebraska Cultural Endowment.
